About Portland State University
Portland State University serves as a center of opportunity for over 25,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Located in Portland, Oregon, one of the nation's most livable cities, the University's innovative approach to education combines academic rigor in the classroom with field-based experiences through internships and classroom projects with community partners. The University's 49-acre downtown campus exhibits Portland State's commitment to sustainability with green buildings, while many of the 124 bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees incorporate sustainability into the curriculum. About Waseda University
Waseda University is one of the most prestigious private universities in Japan. It has thirteen undergraduate and twenty-one graduate and professional schools on four campuses in the Tokyo area. Waseda enrolls approximately 54,228 students per year and many of the leading positions in Japanese businesses, government, and other organizations are held by Waseda alumni. The past Prime Minister of Japan, Yasuo Fukuda, graduated from Waseda University in 1959.
About Waseda Oregon
The Waseda Oregon Office is a joint venture of Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan and Portland State University (PSU) in Portland, Oregon, USA. Waseda Oregon is an educational non-profit 501(3)(c) established in the State of Oregon (TIN 93-1280676). Waseda Oregon administers the Waseda Summer Japanese Program (at Waseda) and the Transnational and Environmental Sustainability Programs (at PSU). Waseda Oregon also serves as a branch office of Waseda University in North America.
Waseda Oregon has long-serving and dedicated faculty and staff who have supported students in their study abroad experiences either at PSU and Waseda since 1992.
